Printer Repair Specialists in North Staffordshire

Sudden Impact have over 25 years experience in repairing, maintaining, supporting and refurbishing all types of business printer. We offer a wide range of printer repair services within a 50 mile radius of Newcastle-Under-Lyme.

Either bring your printer to us or we'll collect, or we can come to you and do the repair on site. If your printer needs to come in to us for repairs we are able to offer a FREE loan printer for the duration of the repair.

Competitive Prices

In most cases if you call and tell us what the fault is we can give fixed price repair cost over the phone - or if it is financially better for you we will arrange to replace the machine for you. Should your printer not be repairable we stock a wide range of affordable refurbished office printers, plus we supply brand new printers and can advise on the most cost effective option for you.

Speedy Service

We understand that your printer can be cruical to your business. All our engineers carry several fully refurbished exchange machines in their vehicles, so if they can’t fix your printer quickly, they would leave you an equivalent machine (installed and working) whilst they brought your machine back to our workshop for further investigations. You could then either keep the exchange machine, or have yours returned to you. We offer fast, economical repair services for a wide range of office and desktop printing equipment including mono and colour laser printers, inkjets, plotters and wide format printers, dot matrix, thermal and point of sale. We also repair scanners and multifunction printers.

All Our Work is Guaranteed

We provide a 6 months warranty on everything we do; repairs, fusers, maintenance kits & refurbished printers. Buy from us with confidence.

Laser Printers

Sudden Impact specialise in the repair of all types of Office Laser Printer.  From small standalone Mono Laser printers to large multi user, multifunction networked machines (print, scan, copy, fax), our engineers have a wealth of knowledge plus a huge printer spare parts repository to ensure that we keep your printer up and running !

Inkjet Printers

Sadly, due to the increasingly low cost of replacement machines, we are no longer able to offer a cost effective repair on the small home-user inkjet printers.  This is because our minimum charge often exceeds the cost of replacement, so customers generally prefer to replace the printer.  However, the larger, more expensive inkjet printers (e.g. Epson) that are often used by professional photographers, printers etc are more economically viable for repair.  Please contact us on 0845 370 7701 to discuss our services.

Wide Format printers

Wide-format printers (contrast to vector-rendering "plotters") are generally accepted to be any printer with a print width between 17" and 100". Printers over the 100" mark may be called Super-Wide or Grand format. Wide format printers are used to print banners, posters and general signage and in some cases may be more economical than short-run methods such as screen printing. Wide format printers generally use a roll of print material rather than individual sheets and may incorporate hot-air dryers to prevent prints from sticking to themselves as they are produced.

Dot Matrix Printers

Many people think that Dot Matrix Printers are no longer supported or repaired as they tend to be very old ! This is not the case - our engineers have been repairing Dot Matrix printers here at our workshop in Staffordshire since 1991.  We still have some very old units in stock as swap-outs or to use for spare parts.  So, if you are still relying on your good old trusty Dot Matrix printer for your multi-part forms, then please give us a ring to see how we can help.

Document Scanners

An optical scanner geared to office documents rather than photographs. Also called "office scanners," "enterprise scanners" and "business scanners," desktop models have automatic document feeders that can scan in the range of approximately 15 to 100 pages per minute. Such units are rated in pages per minute (ppm) or impressions per minute (ipm) if both sides of the page are scanned simultaneously. "Personal document scanners" are low-speed, portable models that accept one sheet of paper at a time.
